Niro Siriwardena lectures on the treatment of insomnia; he explains why it is hard to diagnose, and the barriers facing GPs when patients have insomnia and comorbidities. Professor Siriwardena then discusses the outcomes of studies where cognitive–behavioural therapy has been given to people with sleep disorders.
This lecture was part of an event called ‘CBT for insomnia disorder' at The Royal Society of Medicine in London.
