Dr Nicholas Levy discusses the anaesthetists' perspective of diabetes and surgery. Dr Levy covers pre-operative diabetes care from 1950 – 1970's, the new paradigm in 2011 for diagnosing diabetes and current developments in the NICE guidelines.
