Nick Panay gives his Presidential Address on the topic of the menopause. Why do women experience menstruation cessation? What causes it and what is the purpose of the menopause? These are questions that have been asked by physicians for centuries and yet there is still no definitive answer. Panay guides the audience through the varying interpretations of the menopause and concludes with his perspective.
This lecture was part of an event called ‘The Presidential address: Menopause: Natural selection or modern disease?' at The Royal Society of Medicine in London.
