Dr Sarosh Irani and Dr Rachel Kneen talk about the future of encephalitis and what is being done to improve not only the diagnosis but the treatment process for patients. Dr Irani looks at autoimmune encephalitis, its prevention and understanding the patient’s symptoms. Dr Kneen also focuses on the patient’s journey, and the encephalitis guidelines and its studies, which she has personally been involved with.
