Malav Bhimpuria discusses the integrated sleep studies service for patients with obstructive sleep apnoea-hypopnoea at his local GP surgery. Malav talks through the process of the service and its growth to other practices and national bodies, highlighting the decrease in referral numbers and savings for the local health economy. Improved patient experience is at the heart of the scheme, and is made possible by the close interaction between primary and secondary care centres and commissioners.
This lecture was part of the 'Sleep medicine in a community setting' event at The Royal Society of Medicine in London.
