Mike Holmes talks about the partnering of academia with industry on medical research initiatives. Mike lays out some of the issues in the current process, and offers potential changes to enhance the collaborative relationship between industry and academia. These include strict standards for data management and reporting, incentives for cooperation, regular reviews and a clear focus on the common endpoint.
This lecture was part of the 'Public- private partnerships in medical research - connecting the dots....!' event at The Royal Society of Medicine in London.
