Dr Lisa Webber (Consultant Gynaecologist and Specialist in Reproductive Medicine, St Mary's Hospital) explains the role of hyperinsulinemia within polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She discusses the prevalance of the metabloic syndrome, impaired glucose tolerance and type 2 diabetes in PCOS.
